BISTRO 16 – Celebrating 100 year special menu
This season we’re all about sharing menu items that are inspired by Autumnal/ Winter ingredients and perfect for cosying up. While 2020 may have put a damper on dinner parties and group gatherings, we’re not going to let that stop us from celebrating our major milestone. So, for our 100th Anniversary, our Bistro 16 creative chefs came up with some traditional, authentic, and yummy bistro food, but also wanted us to travel around the world with these international dishes. From India to Middle East, Mexico to Italia and everywhere in between.
Lamb Kofta is full of favours and spiced with lamb mince made on a skewer shaped like a torpedo. It is served with Lebanese salad, pita bread, hummus and tzatziki. Oh and cinnamon is the secret ingredient in lamb koftas that is so distinctly middle eastern.
Grilled Prawn Soft Tacos
Grilled prawns soft tacos filled with juicy prawns and chipotle slaw, guacamole salsa and sour cream. Top with a spritz of lime juice and torn with fresh herbs, they are yummy.
Massaman Beef Curry
This delicious rich fall apart slow cooked beef Messman beef curry in a spicy curry sauce with fragrant Jasmine rice, vegetables, peanuts and yoghurt. This is the perfect comfort food.
Grilled Sirloin Steak
Grilled sirloin steak served with beer battered fries and salad.

There is a reason why we have called ourselves Home of Handcrafted Food. Our meats are carefully selected and prepared by our in-house butcher, our fruits and vegetables come from the Tweed Valley and our desserts are made by our in-house Pastry Chefs. How more authentic can that be?
